Vietname Memories by Donald Tienhaara
Elephants, tigers, snakes & camping near bigfoot (looking back in the fog)
I want people to learn about and be inspired by my unusual stories of my experience in the Vietnam War.
–Donald Tienhaara
Donald Tienhaara was drafted into the army and did one tour of duty in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967.
While he considers himself to be a storyteller, not a writer, 50 years later from the time of the Vietnam War, Donald decided to record his remembrances of a series of very unusual events that God allowed him to live through, some of which few, if any, have seen or heard.
This collection of over 70 short stories is a one-of-a-kind, unique, and sometimes odd take on what was a devastating and frightful experience for all those who, like the author, had boots on the ground.
The author hopes the people who read this book meditate on the various stories and try to imagine themselves experiencing these extraordinary events. He says: “I often am amazed I actually went through this craziness.”
My profession is online marketing and development (10+ years experience), check my latest mobile app called Upcoming or my Chrome extensions for ChatGPT. But my real passion is reading books both fiction and non-fiction. I have several favorite authors like James Redfield or Daniel Keyes. If I read a book I always want to find the best part of it, every book has its unique value.
